Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 July 2026
1. Who we are
RideBorder is operated by MO&KA IT Services. RideBorder is a platform that connects cross-border commuters (frontalieri) across Ticino and the neighbouring cross-border zone so they can share journeys.
2. Cost-sharing, not commercial transport
RideBorder facilitates cost-sharing carpool arrangements between private drivers and passengers. It is not a taxi, ride-hailing or commercial passenger-transport service, and drivers are not professional carriers. Any contribution shared for a ride is intended to cover a fair part of the trip’s running costs.
3. Eligibility and accounts
Requirements for creating an account, minimum age, and accurate profile information will be set out here.
4. Verification
How identity, driving licence, vehicle and (where applicable) insurance are verified, and what happens if verification fails, will be set out here.
5. Payments and cost-sharing
How the shared cost is calculated, collected and settled — including any platform fee and the supported payment methods — will be set out here.
6. Community conduct and safety
Expected behaviour, ratings, and the grounds for suspending or removing an account will be set out here.
7. Cancellations and no-shows
Cancellation windows and their consequences for drivers and passengers will be set out here.
8. Liability and insurance
The allocation of responsibility between riders, drivers and RideBorder, and the role of drivers’ own insurance, will be set out here.
9. Changes to the service and these terms
How and when these terms may change, and how users are notified, will be set out here.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. The competent forum will be set out here.
